Song of myself is a beautiful creation of Walt Whitman. In this poem the poet tells about American individualism. He tells about the aim of his life.
He enjoys and sings. He things that our feeling are same. There is no difference between man and man. All are same. Our blood is same. He said that whatever things he possessed the rest might have processed the same.
The poet wonders aimlessly and thinks a lot. He takes some rest and goes ahead. He sees the mast of Summer grass. It seems as if it is a bunch of thorns. He says that we should not make other unhappy. Happiness and sorrow are the two parts of life. Life is not a bed of roses. Man is mad of soil. Man is the father of man. He is 37 years old. He is healthy and hopes that he have will be healthy till death.
At last he said that life is the gift of god. We should live happily. We always be happy and try to make other happy.

“सॉन्ग ऑफ़ माइसेल्फ (स्वयं के लिए गाना)” एक बहुत अच्छी कविता है। इसे अमेरिका के सबसे महान कवि वाल्ट व्हिटमैन के द्वारा रचित किया गया है। इस वर्तमान कविता में कवि वाल्ट व्हिटमैन मानवता के प्रति अपने विचार को प्रस्तुत करते है।
वे कहते है कि सभी पुरुष एक-समान जन्म लेते है और सभी पुरूषो में सबकुछ एक जैसा होता है और यहाँ तक कि उनका खून भी एक रंग का ही होता है लेकिन दो धर्मों के बीच, झगड़े को देखकर कवि काफ़ी दुःख प्रकट करते हैं।
अंतत कवि हमें यह सुझाव देते हैं कि प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को यह सोचना चाहिए कि इस संसार में भाईचारा के सिवा कुछ नहीं हैं इसलिए हमेशा ख़ुश रहे और दूसरों को खुश रखने की कोशिश करें।
